The recipe didn’t contain any pumpkin until 2015

For 11-years the drink contained spices and flavors that resembled pumpkin pie, but no actual pumpkin until they added pumpkin puree to the recipe in the fall of 2015.

The original name was “Fall Harvest Latte”

“PSL” was the original beverage code and eventually became the drink’s nickname.

Pumpkin Spice Latte is a worldwide phenomenon

The Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is available in nearly 50 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

#PSL is one of the most used hashtags on Twitter

During the fall Starbucks customers tweet “#PSL” an average of more than 3000 tweets per day.

The pumpkin spice craze began in Vancouver and Washington D.C.

In 2002, 100 stores in Vancouver and Washington D.C were selected to test the beverage.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte has a very loyal fan base
