Coffee wakes you up. So does whiskey. Why not have both? Thanks to the Irish you can. Here’s how you can enjoy an Irish at home.
Coffee, Irish whiskey (Jameson, Midleton, Redbreast), brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, nutmeg
Spoon, whisk, bowl, cup
Brew your coffee. Click here to explore different coffee brewing methods.
Add one tablespoon of brown sugar into your cup.
Pour about 5 ounces of heavy whipping cream into a bowl and begin whisking. Whisk it until it is thicker than milk but do not let it reach the consistency of whipped cream.
Fill your cup a little over 3/4 of the way full.
Add one shot of Irish Whiskey…or two 😉
Hold the spoon upside down on top of the cup and pour the heavy cream over it. It should float over the coffee.
Sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top and enjoy.
